Your chance to become more
There are several ways to become a part of BENTELER and grow with us once you are on board. On each level we offer various kinds of programs that make it easy to get to know us and then later pursue your individual goals.
Programs and opportunities for pre-college or vocational
Whether your school has an internship requirement or you simply want to learn more about a certain field of work, you are welcome at BENTELER. The length and structure of your internship is flexible and can be determined together with your mentor. We cooperate with schools everywhere and can offer a great deal of experience in creating valuable internship possibilities for curious minds.
The apprentice program is a foundation in the German education system, and several of our lcoations have syndicated this style of program that certifies young people for a particular vocation. A typical apprenticeship lasts 2-3 years and includes hands-on experience at one of our sites as well as classroom work that directly reinforces what you learn on the job. Completing this type of program not only qualifies you as a professional, but for many young people it is also the first major building block on their resume.
We are committed to increasing the number of women in technology and industry. In order to keep pace with the competition, we believe it is very important to tap into the potential all portions of our society have to offer, which is why we often host regular events under our “Girl’s Day” motto. With these events we aim to give young women the chance to discover some of the exciting technical jobs that are waiting for them at BENTELER.
Sometimes you simply have to experience things for yourself. We often host “Open House” events, inviting people in the communities where we operate to get to know us better and find out more about BENTELER first hand. These events are your chance to see BENTELER from the inside and understand what it is like to work for a global player. Every site regularly opens their doors to the public and would be very glad to meet you.
Programs and opportunities for students
Dual student program
Whether you are working towards your BA, BSc, MA, MSc, PhD or another college degree, we offer various kinds of support as you develop and write your thesis. As a “dual student”, you will be partnered with an experienced mentor who can help you every step of the way and will also closely collaborate with your professors to ensure seamless cooperation and meaningful results. We have already supported many students, and often times this type of collaboration is the beginning of a successful career at BENTELER.
Because of our close and continued cooperation with colleges around the world, we are able to host projects that promote learning and help keep us on the cutting edge. One example is the “Formula Student Germany” program hosted by the Association of German Engineers (VDI). As a part of this competition, students build a racing car as a team – and this winner is not necessarily the fastest car, but the team who offers the best package in terms of design, performance and financial planning.
Throughout the world we also sponsor college department chairs, and this fosters a very close-knit cooperation among experts at BENTELER and in academia. As a result, we can offer students the chance to making meaningful contributions both to the economy as well as to the advancement of technology and industry.
Programs and opportunities for recent graduates
If you display a high level of potential during your internship, during your internship or as a “dual student”, you could qualify to be a part of this unique program. The BENTELER Alumni Program is focused on unlocking your potential and includes participation in various events, workshops, networking opportunities and international internships. This is one of many examples that shows BENTELER is committed to the careers of aspiring professionals and is a place where they can become equipped with the experience needed for a successful future.
In many regions we offer trainee programs in practically every field of work. These programs normally last approximately 15 months and are followed by an exam to ensure you have acquired the knowledge you need to make a positive impact as a professional. The successful completion of a trainee program means you are equipped with valuable experience you can put to use in any number of ways – and many times it is the first step of a long and successful career within the BENTELER network.
Programs and opportunities for experienced professionals
There is no such thing as a dead end career at BENTELER. No matter how long you have been with us, you will continue to find interesting opportunities to learn and grow both personally and professionally. You will have the chance to take part in various workshops and seminars geared at increasing the knowledge and improving the skills you need to achieve your goals. For example, we offer events on improving personal communication, managing time effectively and defining leadership style – just to name a few. If you are still willing to grow as a professional even after many years of work, we promise to match your dedication with the corresponding opportunities.
